ARTE Gallery presents the exhibition Synchronistic Spaces – a new painting project by Slav Nedev, which explores invisible connections, coincidences and slippages between different levels of reality.
The cycle includes canvases in which architecture, figures and symbols exist simultaneously in a common field of sensitivity – a space that the artist builds as a visual analogy to the concept of synchronicity, introduced by Carl Gustav Jung. According to Jung, meaningful coincidences are not the result of cause-and-effect logic, but a manifestation of deeper, invisible structures of connectivity. It is to such nonlinear connections that Slav Nedev directs his attention.
The paintings present silhouetted figures, monumental architectures, condensed color fields and symbolic gestures that do not tell specific stories, but create situations of simultaneity. In them, real places become abstract spaces, and human presences - markers of movement, memory, action. As contemporary theorists such as Nicolas Bourriaud and Hans Ulrich Obrist have noted, contemporary art increasingly functions as a field of interactions, superimpositions and parallel times – and it is in this context that Nedev’s new cycle unfolds.
The exhibition includes works created in 2023–2025, including: Exercise with a Flag, Open Interior, Expectation/The Spirit of the Forest, Civilization, Quantum Entanglement, Between Angels and Demons, To Other Spaces, Reflection, Solemn Moment.
The paintings create a sense of stagecraft. The viewer is invited to “enter” the spaces, to complete them with their own associations, cultural references and memories. Thus, each canvas becomes a place where the inner and the outer, the real and the imaginary, the personal and the collective meet.

Галерия АРТЕ представя изложбата Синхронични пространства – нов живописен проект на Слав Недев, който изследва невидимите връзки, съвпаденията и приплъзванията между различни нива на реалност.
Цикълът включва платна, в които архитектура, фигури и символи съществуват едновременно в общо поле на чувствителност – пространство, което художникът изгражда като визуална аналогия на понятието синхроничност, въведено от Карл Густав Юнг. Според Юнг значещите съвпадения не са резултат от причинно-следствена логика, а проявление на по-дълбоки, невидими структури на свързаност. Именно към такива нелинейни връзки насочва вниманието си Слав Недев.
Картините представят силуетни фигури, монументални архитектури, сгъстени цветови полета и знакови жестове, които не разказват конкретни истории, а създават ситуации на едновременност. В тях реални места се превръщат в абстрактни пространства, а човешките присъствия – в маркери на движение, памет, действие. Както отбелязват съвременни теоретици като Никола Бурио и Ханс Улрих Обрист, съвременното изкуство все по-често функционира като поле на взаимодействия, наслагвания и паралелни времена – и именно в този контекст се разгръща новият цикъл на Недев.
В изложбата са включени произведения, създадени през 2023–2025 г., сред които: Упражнение със знаме, Отворен интериор, Очакване/Духът на гората, Цивилизация, Квантово заплитане, Между ангели и демони, Към други пространства, Отражение, Тържествен момент.
Картините създават усещане за сценичност. Зрителят е поканен да „влезе“ в пространствата, да ги доизгради със собствените си асоциации, културни препратки и спомени. Така всяко платно се превръща в място, където вътрешното и външното, реалното и въображаемото, личното и колективното се срещат.
